Mackenzie Green was inspired by her dog, Scooter and cat Lily to launch Lily & Scooter in late 2005. Not only did she name the company after them, she has used Scooter as a model for many of the illustrations. Since its inception the stationery company has been known for its whimsical illustrations and distinct style. The line has expanded from just a few cards to over 50 distinct designs. Each card is an original illustration or design by Mackenzie and reflects her love of pattern and especially color. With their motto “Pretty Fun Stuff”, Lily & Scooter breathes fresh air into Thank You notes, Birthday cards, as well as Baby and Bridal shower invitations, instantly cheering the receiver, Mackenzie lives in New York. She graduated from the prestigious Art Center College of Design with a photography degree in 1997. She travels frequently, and recent trips to Morocco and Spain have provided invaluable inspiration that will surely end up in a card sometime soon. It is a daily delight to get to draw and color for a living.
